My Dream Job !1!1!1
My blog isn't just a review blog, it seems like... might need to rebrand soon, lol.
So I'm sitting in my room in front computer right now, feeling very bloated from my dinner and the soda drink I just had, and I actually have no idea what my dream job is. I've always dreamed of having money, just not how I will make said money. I think I just pray I will manage to get my life back together at some point and get a well-paying job, or marry a rich man and be a trophy wife…
Honestly, it is a fact at this point that I'm lazy. So if I'm being very frank right now, I'll probably choose something that's easy. The problem is: there isn't a job that is easy, and that equals to me being very sad.
I remember asking my mom what I should be when I grow up, and she answered with “Just be a doctor!”, saying it would be nice for me to help people. Now, when I look back, I think of how that's such a generic asian parent answer, and she probably only said it because it pays pretty well. But that did become my dream job for a while.
The second job I’ve ever dreamed of was being a dentist. Not so much different from being a doctor, I know. But I saw in a drama once, the main character was a dentist, and she lived her best independent rich life in her fancy apartment while looking so happy. So I thought, “Yeah, I could do that!” And it's not as hard as being an actual doctor or a surgeon… right? Since you only work with teeth and such. Well, I started researching about it more, and it was still as hard and expensive as normal doctors. Yikes. So, scrap that.
The third job is… IT specialist. “Wow, you’re so unique, Raine 🙄,” you probably say. But, okay, the reason I wanted to become one was… once again, because of my parents, or more like, my mom, really. She asked me what I wanted to be, and I answered quite honestly, “I don’t know.” So she suggested working in IT. Why? Because my brothers did. Like, both of them. And my mom thought, why not all three? (probably, maybe, I don't know, I’m just making stuff up). So I thought about it, and it did seem quite interesting. I’ve actually always been interested in trying to learn coding. I think it’s very cool. My mom always pushed me to take the coding extracurricular (but I never did actually end up doing it lol).
But like, what do you actually do as an IT specialist?
An article by a guy named Aaron Kim said:
“An IT specialist is an expert in information technology who maintains and repairs computers and digital networks, provides technical support, oversees upgrades, solves company-wide issues, implements security protocols and trains other employees.”
So yeah. A ton of coding, repairing digital stuff, and probably something to do with cybersecurity. It is not the same as those "hackers" in the movies who go through firewalls or whatever. I guess it's like... a digital technician.
Again, I am still not sure. I may or may not pursue this (these) career path. I'm still figuring out stuff.
So, um, yeah, kay
